No self respecting music lover will want to miss this event. DFA Records, the label that bought us Hot Chip, Lcd Soundsystem, The Rapture and Hercules and Love Affair, is home to DJ Kaos.

Berlin-based Kaos has remixed the likes of Bryan Ferry and New Young Pony Club. He has also released material on K7, Composite and recently on his own label, Jolly Jams. Expect a mixture of twisted music that will have its roots in disco and house. We hope to see you there.

ANDRÉ has been pasting the walls of the world’s biggest cities since the age of 13. Having risen to international fame with his leggy eponymous character, “Monsieur A,” and his “Love Graffiti.” ANDRÉ is recognized on the street art scene by his ubiquitous use of the color pink.

André is also known for giving graffiti a new meaning by introducing his images in the clubs and night-spots of cities like Paris, New York and Tokyo. Today ANDRÉ is the Artistic Director and owner of some of the hottest nightclubs and restaurants around the world (Le Baron Paris, Le Baron Tokyo, Le Montana, Hôtel Amour, Hôtel Ermitage St. Tropez, La Fidélité), and a major influence on the international nightlife scene.

For this project ANDRÉ returned to his first love, drawing and illustration. He uses the psychedelic imagery of the 60s and 70s, combined with his memories of the comics he used to read when he was little, to illustrate the shoe-box and the sole of each FEIYUE x ANDRÉ model with his vision of Paris. It's this vision of paris that will soon take over the window space at a store.

This co-lab will only be available in one store per country. a store proudly being that store in Africa. There are only 12 pairs in total.

COMPETITION TIME

Feiyue are giving away a pair of the ANDRÉ co-lab shoes here.

This Saturday, Warm Up, at Waiting Room sees the return of Midnight Men. Pierre Estienne, one half of MM, has recently returned from a short stint in Berlin, where he played some sets along side DJ Naughty and Loud E. His return to Warm Up will ensure some of the newest cuts from the international disco and house scene get their glory on the dancefloor.

Joining the MM are Soulo Starr and Lapse, bringing their own respected influences to the night.

For those looking for an alternative to the local night scene, Warm Up is a good option.

Remember Jose Gonzalez? The Swedish muso is back with a band and another great album. Junip has in fact existed since 1999 but its only recently that the band decided to complete the album they have been itching to make all these years.

Describing the process as one of patience and perfectionism, frustration and persistence, sheer bloody-mindedness, inspiration and success, Junips debut album "Fields", is something to treasure. Going back to basics is never a bad thing and although Jose's pastoral melancholic vocals are the centre of the album, the other musicians build a colourful scenario around him that completes a grand formula.

Available online and in store from next week. Make it a worthy addition to your music collection.

The video for Interpols new single "Lights" is directed by Charlie White. We left it up to him to do the explaining

About the video: "The video aims to complement the somber and meditative build of "Lights" with an equally progressive scenario: the imagined ritual of pheromone production within the body of a three-horned rhinoceros beetle. The video portrays the ballet-like ritual in which a donor, called a "Pheromone Doe" for her ability to excrete the intoxicating fluid, is led through the steps of disrobing, washing, and dressing in preparation for arousal. Once fully prepared, the doe is taken by her courtesans (members of a guild of pheromone-production workers who are addicted to the fluid and live to aid its production) to an arousal plinth where she will build her excitement until she excretes the white pheromone fluid from her eyes, mouth, and fingers. The pheromone is then collected within the chamber for future use by the beetle."

About the beetle: "The three-horned rhinoceros beetle (Chalcosoma caucasus) is one of the most dramatic as well as demonic-looking insects. The male beetle has a heavy black shelled form with a helmet-like cranium bearing three enormous horns. The beetle was the creative starting point for the video, and a complement to the dominance of black within Interpol's aesthetic language. The beetle became the muse, and from it the video's sets, wardrobe, and palette emerged. Details that specifically reference the majestic bug include the courtesan' long, black pinky fingers with their shell-like nails; the shape of the Doe's hair; and the dense use of black-on-black-on-black throughout the video."

The new self titled fourth album is out 7 September 2010.
