Some of you may have seen some of the Panesar Simone AW2010 range at a store. Their fine attention to detail and imported fabrics from Italy are two of the many things that stand out about this new South African brand. To get a better idea of what they are all about and to view the entire Spring Summer 2010/11 range, they are throwing an event called 'Urban Affair' consisting of a presentation of contemporary art and design products curated by Haas and a live performance by Jack (they guy modelling above) Mantis Band. Three Stories, hosted by /A Word of Art, will be your creative home away from home for the duration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

With six art exhibitions, skateboard and gaming areas, dj's, bars and a host of other treats, this is certainly one place you need to visit during the world cup.

Kehinde Wiley and Puma collaboration 'Legends of Unity' has created quite a stir. Puma sponsors no less than 12 African national teams! With this in mind its no wonder their lifestyle products are full of rich African inspired themes, fabrics and patterns.

Watch the Puma 'Of the Same Earth' video to see how Kehinde is inspired by the different dynamics of African culture. The video really brings home how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful and diverse continent as Africa. Ultimately however the true message from Kehinde is that we are all of the same earth.

Just came across this pic of some Nike All Court fans. This idea could be worth some long term wardrobe investment. Build the look, and they will come!

NIKE78 is an exciting new project created by Paul Jenkins and inspired by NIKE. Creatives involved have been given a brand new pair of NIKE shoes and asked to use sport as inspiration to challenge their function. The full project is being documented in the NIKE78 online gallery. An exhibition of the work is planned for the London Design Festival 2010.

We've seen this, done that, some of you may say and a store favourite book, Art and Sole definately got to grips with this topic, but some of the work showcased here truly takes things to the next level.

Above are a few of our favourites, but really, theres plenty more where these came from.

British street wear brand Bench is coming to South Africa. Born in Manchester in the 80's the brand was originally inspired by BMX and skateboarding, they also formed a strong association with the Madchester music scene. They have since gone on to become one of the worlds most respected urban lifestyle brands, especially known for their strong usage of technical details and high quality.

We hooked up with Bench S.A and were privy to viewing the entire Winter range of jackets, coats and jerseys. They have some great pieces which have been made available to us at a store. Pop by and check out the selection we made. All the jackets are one-offs, so no need to worry about anyone cramping your style.
